Terms of Service

Last updated: August 6, 2026

These terms govern your trash collection service with Bowdon Disposal Services, LLC. We've written them in plain English — no legal jargon, no fine print tricks.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By signing up for service with Bowdon Disposal Services, LLC ("Bowdon Disposal," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you're signing up on behalf of a household or business, you're agreeing on behalf of everyone who uses the service at that address.

2. Service Description

We provide weekly curbside trash collection for residential customers in Carroll, Haralson, and Heard counties in West Georgia.

  • Weekly pickup on your assigned service day
  • 95-gallon wheeled cart included with your plan
  • Curbside service — you place the cart at the curb, we empty it and return it
  • Trash Butler option available for customers who need us to drive up the driveway (see our Trash Butler page for details)

We do our best to maintain consistent service days, but routes may shift occasionally due to weather, road conditions, or operational needs. We'll communicate any changes as soon as possible.

3. Payment Terms

Our pricing is straightforward. No hidden fees, no fuel surcharges, no surprise charges.

  • Starting at $27.50/month with our annual plan ($330 billed yearly)
  • $25 one-time processing fee applies to all new recurring service plans
  • Credit or debit card only — we accept all major cards
  • All payments are non-refundable once service is rendered
  • Billing is automatic on the date you selected at signup

If your payment fails, we'll retry it and notify you. Service may be suspended if payment is not received within a reasonable time.

4. Cancellation Policy

We don't lock you into contracts. You can cancel your service at any time for any reason.

  • Cancel anytime — no penalties, no questions asked
  • Service continues through the end of your current billing period
  • No partial refunds for unused service days in a billing period
  • To cancel: call us at (470) 943-3355 or email office@bowdondisposal.com

If you move within our service area, we can transfer your service to your new address. If you move outside our service area, your service will end at the close of your current billing period.

5. Cart Rules & Prohibited Items

Your cart is for regular household trash only. We have specific rules about what can and cannot go in the cart. These rules protect our crew, our equipment, and the environment.

Full cart rules are available on our dedicated page:

If your cart contains prohibited items, our crew may not be able to empty it. Remove the prohibited items and we'll pick up your cart on the next scheduled service day.

6. Customer Responsibilities

To make sure you get reliable service every week, here's what we need from you:

  • Cart placement: Put your cart at the curb the night before your pickup day
  • Clear access: Keep your cart accessible — not blocked by cars, fences, tree branches, or other obstacles
  • Lid closure: Make sure the cart lid can close completely
  • Cart care: Don't use the cart to store items long-term, and don't let pets or children use it as a sandbox
  • Return the cart: After pickup, return the cart to your property within 24 hours
  • Accurate info: Keep your contact information current so we can reach you if needed

7. Trash Butler Service Agreement

Our Trash Butler service — where we drive up your driveway to collect and return your cart — has its own specific terms covering property access and liability.

By purchasing Trash Butler service, you agree to the full agreement on our Trash Butler page:

The Trash Butler agreement is part of these Terms of Service and applies in addition to everything stated here.

8. Limitation of Liability

We take great care with your property and your trash cart. That said:

  • • We are not responsible for items left inside your cart after pickup — once it's emptied, we don't guarantee anything that was in it
  • • We are not liable for incidental property damage (tire marks on driveways, minor grass damage) that occurs during normal curbside service
  • • We are not responsible for missed pickups caused by factors beyond our control (severe weather, road closures, equipment failure, blocked access to your cart)
  • • Our total liability to you for any claim related to our service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the incident

For Trash Butler service, the liability terms on our Trash Butler page apply.
