Carroll County Dump Hours: Convenience Centers vs Curbside Pickup

Carroll County runs 10 staffed convenience centers where residents drop off household trash, most open four days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Bowdon Disposal is a private company that empties a 95-gallon cart at your curb weekly. Drop-off suits people who will make the trip. Curbside suits people who want trash gone without a drive.

The centers take household trash, recycling, furniture and metal. This page lists each site and its days, covers the annual pass the county has started selling, and explains how weekly curbside pickup is different. Neither option is right for everyone.

Is There a New Annual Pass? (Reported)

Fox 5 Atlanta and The Georgia Sun report that Carroll County will require an annual pass to use the convenience centers starting January 1, 2027: $50 per household, or $25 for residents 65 and older. The Georgia Sun says sales began October 1, 2026, and that no pass is needed before the new year.

The county's own convenience centers page still says there is no charge. Until that page changes, confirm the details with Carroll County at 770-832-1233.

When Are the Carroll County Convenience Centers Open?

Should I Use a Convenience Center or Curbside Pickup?

A convenience center fits if

  • you are happy to make the trip yourself
  • the center's open days and hours suit your week
  • you have a piece of furniture or a mattress to drop off

Curbside pickup fits if

  • you want trash gone from the house every week without a drive
  • a 95-gallon cart at the curb works for you
  • rolling the cart out is hard (Trash Butler comes to your door)

Bowdon Disposal is a private curbside company, not a county service. We serve homes in and around Bowdon, Carrollton, Villa Rica, Temple, Whitesburg, Roopville and Mount Zion. If you live inside a city's limits, ask city hall what service already applies to your address; Carrollton, for one, runs its own pickup. Then call (470) 943-3355 or check the pricing page and we will tell you whether we cover your address. More on the Carroll County service area page.
