It is closed Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. Any other Carroll County center will take you, and the Highway 5 East center in Lowell, about seven and a half miles away in a straight line, is open Monday and Wednesday. Newnan Road in Carrollton is open every day, with Sunday hours from 12 to 6 p.m.

County Drop-Off Near Whitesburg
Carroll County lists a Whitesburg Community center on Sammy Duke Road, off Wellington Mill Road, about a mile from the middle of town in a straight line. It is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and closed the other days. It takes household garbage, mattresses included, and mixed metal. Furniture is limited to one or two pieces at a time, and larger loads go to the county transfer station.
